Pediatrician (MD/DO) – Fredericksburg, TX

Job Type: Full- time
Schedule: Mon- Fri

Position Overview:

The Pediatrician will provide comprehensive outpatient medical care to pediatric patients in a patient-centered medical home environment. The physician will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide preventive care, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, and support positive health outcomes within the community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child visits and acute illness management
• Diagnose and treat pediatric medical conditions
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
• Review laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic results
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with specialists
• Provide preventive health education and counseling to patients and families
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EHR
• Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health providers, and other healthcare professionals
• Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to support staff and medical students
• Participate in quality improvement and patient-centered medical home initiatives
• Support community health and wellness programs
• Participate in on-call coverage when required
  

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active, unrestricted Texas Physician License
• Current DEA and DPS registrations
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges when required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• At least 1 year of pediatric clinical experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation
• Bilingual Spanish skills preferred
